Rooted - Fall 2026

Rooted is many things. It provides the opportunity to connect with God, it helps build spiritual rhythms into our daily lives, it brings people together in community, it provides new spiritual experiences, and it opens the door for people to know God’s purpose and calling in their lives, all in unexpected, life-changing ways!

Rooted is a 12-week journey in a small-group setting that combines foundational and challenging content with meaningful experiences to help you discover what it means to truly walk as a disciple of Jesus. If you are married, Rooted is best experienced alongside your spouse.

Topics covered include:

• Who Is God?
• How Does God Speak to Us?
• Where Is God in the Midst of Suffering?
• There Is an Enemy
• How Can I Make the Most of My Life?
• How Does God View Money?
• Why and How Should I Tell Others?
• Why Is the Church Important?

Weekly meetings for this session will take place on Thursday evenings. The nights we will meet are September 10, 17, 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12, 19 (taking a break for Thanksgiving November 26) and then ending December 3 with a special Celebration. Each week we'll meet from 6:15-7:45pm, except for the Celebration on December 3, which go from 6:00-8:00. In addition to these nights, your group will enjoy 1 additional outside-of-the-normal-meeting-time Service Project (as scheduled by your small group).

We ask that anyone who wants to go through the Rooted journey to commit to missing no more than 2 weeks. This is a high-ask, high-commitment experience. But with high investment comes high reward. We also know that this schedule and/or night of the week won't work for everyone; if so, plan ahead as we will offer Rooted each fall and spring semester.

Current LifeGroups who want to undertake Rooted can continue to meet on their normal nights and in their normal locations except for 2 Thursdays, the first and last (September 10 and December 3), when all groups will gather together.

The Earlybird cost is $40/person or $70/couple, which covers all sessions, a hardcover book of devotions and journal pages that is yours to keep, shipping costs, your Celebration Night catered meal, and other materials.

The Earlybird Deadline is Thursday, August 27. This is also the final day to guarantee you will have materials on time. Registration will not close, but after the deadline the price will increase by $10/person ($20/couple), and, due to shipping times, we cannot promise you will have a book as you begin. (Books take approximately 2 weeks to arrive once ordered.)

Childcare is also available on UCC's campus on those Thursday evenings; it costs $30 for one child or $60 for 2 or more kids. This one-time childcare fee covers the entire 12 weeks (which breaks down to $2.50 or $5.00 per week!). Childcare will take place in UCC's KidsU area and will be staffed by background-checked workers.

We care deeply about each person's walk with Jesus, and we want everyone to have the opportunity to undergo this adventure.
